{"id":1542,"date":"2023-02-13T15:14:09","date_gmt":"2023-02-13T09:44:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ajantasoya.com\/shop\/?p=1542"},"modified":"2025-11-24T17:55:27","modified_gmt":"2025-11-24T12:25:27","slug":"url-japani-samosa-recipe","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ajantasoya.com\/shop\/blog\/url-japani-samosa-recipe\/","title":{"rendered":"Japani Samosa"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p>[vc_row][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/3&#8243; css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1658837642445{background-color: #f7f7f7 !important;}&#8221;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h3>Ingredients<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>3 cups of refined flour(350 to 400 grams)<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 teaspoon salt<\/li>\n<li>\u00bd teaspoon baking soda<\/li>\n<li>3 to 4 tbsp warm ghee<\/li>\n<li>Water(as required)<\/li>\n<li>Ghee\/butter(as required)<\/li>\n<li>5 to 6 boiled potatos<\/li>\n<li>2 to 3 tbsp garlic and green chillies(crushed)<\/li>\n<li>3 to 4 tbsp pure mustard oil<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp\u00a0 cumin seeds<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp fenugreek seeds<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp nigella seeds<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp fennal seeds<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp black mustard seed<\/li>\n<li>\u00bd tsp hing<\/li>\n<li>2 bay leaves<\/li>\n<li>5 to 6 dry red chilies<\/li>\n<li>1 and a half tbsp salt<\/li>\n<li>1 tbsp turmeric powder<\/li>\n<li>\u00bd tbsp garam masala powder<\/li>\n<li>1 tbsp cumin powder<\/li>\n<li>2 tbsp coriander powder<\/li>\n<li>1 tbsp red chili powder<\/li>\n<li>1 tbsp dry fenugreek leaves<\/li>\n<li>30 to 40 ml water<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/ajantasoya.com\/shop\/\"><strong>Oil for frying<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;2\/3&#8243; css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1658837699746{background-color: #ffffff !important;}&#8221;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h3>How to Make<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Add some lukewarm ghee.<\/li>\n<li>First, dry mix them.<\/li>\n<li>Then add water in batches and knead a semi-hard dough. Do not knead a soft dough for this recipe.<\/li>\n<li>After that, leave it for 15 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Then knead it again for 30 seconds.<\/li>\n<li>Now divide them into medium-sized balls.<\/li>\n<li>Take a piece of dough. Dust it with some flour and roll into as thin as possible. And roll out all of them like this. Here, make sure to roll them as thin as possible because this is important for this recipe. Thin layers create a fine and crisp layer.<\/li>\n<li>Now take a rolled dough. Add 1 to 2 tbsp. ghee or butter. Spread it out evenly.<\/li>\n<li>Sprinkle some flour and cover it with another rolled dough.<\/li>\n<li>Repeat this process till the end.<\/li>\n<li>After that cut them into small squares.<\/li>\n<li>Keep this pastry in the fridge for 30 to 40 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Meanwhile, prepare the filling. Take a pan, add oil. Heat it for 30 to 40 seconds on medium flame. Add cumin seeds, nigella seeds, fenugreek seeds, mustard seeds, hing, fennel, and red chilies. Saute it for 15 seconds on a low flame.<\/li>\n<li>Add crushed garlic and green chilies. Saut\u00e9 it for 10 seconds.<\/li>\n<li>Add boiled and mashed potatoes. Mix well.<\/li>\n<li>Add salt, turmeric, and other powdered spices. Add dry fenugreek leaves. Mix well and cook it for 5 to 6 minutes on a high flame.<\/li>\n<li>Then add some water and mix well. Again, cook it for 10 minutes on medium flame.<\/li>\n<li>Turn off the heat and leave it to cool down.<\/li>\n<li>Now, take a piece of pastry. Sprinkle some flour.<\/li>\n<li>And roll out into a square.<\/li>\n<li>Add 1 to 2 tbsp filling.<\/li>\n<li>Apply some water to the edges.<\/li>\n<li>And seal the edges carefully. Do not add too much filling. Make all of them like this.<\/li>\n<li>Now, take a kadhai, heat some oil for 30 to 40 seconds.<\/li>\n<li>Add Japani samosas to the oil and fry them on a low flame. Do not hurry while frying them. It takes 20 to 25 minutes. So fry them on a low flame.<\/li>\n<li>When it turns golden in color. Remove it from the oil.<\/li>\n<li>Fry all of them like this.
