Fasting, a profound discipline for both body and spirit, is traditionally broken with much enthusiasm\u2014and often, with rich foods. However, this Ram Navami, I encourage you to break your fast with not just delicious but also balanced and nutritious meals.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">During fasting, our body adjusts to a state of conservation; hence, reintroducing foods should be gentle and health-focused. Overly rich or heavy meals can shock the system and undo the benefits of fasting.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Start with small portions of nutrient-dense foods that are gentle on the stomach. Coconut water and smoothies are excellent for rehydration, while fruits, soft-cooked vegetables, and yogurt can replenish your system without overwhelming it. These foods are not only easy to digest but also provide the essential vitamins and minerals needed to regain your energy levels.<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left; font-size: 25px; color: #000;\">Try a new twist to Breakfast<\/p>\n<p>While traditional Indian flavors are always a delight, this Ram Navami, why not add an international twist to your celebration? Try this filling and nutritious Vegetarian Taco Recipe. It\u2019s a delightful fusion that incorporates the robust flavors of Indian cuisine with the playful format of tacos, making your meal both exciting and healthful.<br \/>\n[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<strong>Ingredients<\/strong><br \/>\nYou don\u2019t need much to get these vegetarian tacos on the dinner table. Here\u2019s your shopping list:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Mexican Refried Beans \u2013<\/strong> Refried beans are an ubiquitous dish in Mexican cuisine. While I made mine with kidney beans, you can also make them with pinto beans (which is the most traditional) or black beans. The recipe is quite simple \u2014 cook the beans till tender, then mash them with saut\u00e9ed aromatics and spices. If you\u2019re short on time, you may be able to find pre-made refried beans in the canned aisle.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Tomato Salsa \u2013<\/strong> Bright and lightly spicy tomato salsa adds lovely freshness to these crunchy, bean-filled shells. Feel free to swap in Guacamole, Mango Salsa, or your own favorite combination!<\/li>\n<li><strong>Sour cream \u2013<\/strong> If you do not have sour cream, use fresh curd or yogurt instead.<\/li>\n<li>Taco shells or tortillas \u2013 These can be purchased from stores or made at home. You can also swap in your favorite thin flatbread, like Roti or Paratha.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Grated cheese \u2013<\/strong> I suggest using either cheddar cheese, processed cheese, or your favorite melting cheese. You can also omit it if you prefer.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<strong>How To Make a Vegetarian Taco Recipe<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"841\" data-end=\"871\"><strong data-start=\"841\" data-end=\"871\">Prepare the Kidney Beans:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"\" data-start=\"914\" data-end=\"1035\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"917\" data-end=\"1035\">Rinse 1 cup of kidney beans under running water. Soak them in enough water to cover them overnight or for 8\u20139 hours.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"\" data-start=\"1036\" data-end=\"1152\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1039\" data-end=\"1152\">Drain the water, rinse the beans well, and add them to a 2-liter stovetop pressure cooker with \u00bc teaspoon salt.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"\" data-start=\"1153\" data-end=\"1187\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1156\" data-end=\"1187\">Pour in 2 cups of cool water.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"\" data-start=\"1188\" data-end=\"1310\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1191\" data-end=\"1310\">Pressure cook on medium heat for 15\u201318 minutes until the beans are tender. (Fresh beans cook faster than older ones.)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"\" data-start=\"1311\" data-end=\"1455\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1314\" data-end=\"1455\">Once the pressure naturally releases, open the lid. The beans should be fully cooked and mash easily. Drain any excess water and set aside.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<strong>Make the Refried Beans:<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a pan over low heat.<\/li>\n<li>Add the cooked kidney beans to the pan.<\/li>\n<li>Pour in \u00bd to \u2154 cup water or vegetable stock to achieve your desired consistency.<\/li>\n<li>Add salt to taste and mix well.<\/li>\n<li>Let the mixture boil gently over low heat.<\/li>\n<li>Mash the beans using a masher to your preferred texture (chunky or smooth).<\/li>\n<li>Stir in black pepper, dried oregano, red chili powder, and cumin powder.<\/li>\n<li>Mix thoroughly and simmer on low heat for 5\u20136 minutes until the mixture thickens.<\/li>\n<li>Turn off the heat and set aside.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=&#8221;19307&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221; css=&#8221;&#8221;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<strong>Assemble the Tacos:<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"\" data-start=\"2087\" data-end=\"2210\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"2090\" data-end=\"2210\">Preheat the oven to 100\u00b0C (210\u00b0F).
