Buckwheat is a pseudocereal and it is gluten-free. It is one of the few grains that can be eaten during Navaratri fasting.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Preparation Time:<\/strong> 20 M<br \/>\n<strong>Cooking Time:<\/strong> 10 M<br \/>\n<strong>Total Time:<\/strong> 10 M<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients :<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>2 tbsp Crushed roasted peanuts<\/li>\n<li>1 tbsp. <strong><a class=\"row-title\" href=\"https:\/\/ajantasoya.com\/shop\/product\/anchal-refined-soyabean-oil\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Anchal Refined Soyabean Oil<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<li>1\/2 tsp Cumin Seeds<\/li>\n<li>1 Green Chillies (chopped)<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 inch Ginger (chopped)<\/li>\n<li>2 medium potatoes, chopped into small cubes<\/li>\n<li>1 cup kuttu \/ buckwheat<\/li>\n<li>2 cups of water<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp Sugar<\/li>\n<li>Rock Salt as required<\/li>\n<li>1 tbsp. chopped coriander leaves<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How to Make Kuttu Khichdi<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div class=\"RcHTM_li\">\n<div class=\"RcHTM_li-wrp\"><span class=\"RcHTM_li-tx\">Heat <strong><a class=\"row-title\" href=\"https:\/\/ajantasoya.com\/shop\/product\/anchal-refined-soyabean-oil\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Anchal Refined Soyabean Oil<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0in a pan or pot. Add the cumin and saute till they crackle.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>Then add the green chilli and ginger and saute for a few seconds.<\/li>\n<li>Add the potato cubes and saute for 2 to 3 minutes till the potatoes become crisp on the edges. Stir often. It&#8217;s better to chop the potatoes into smaller cubes, so that they cook faster.<\/li>\n<li>Add the ground peanuts and saute for half a minute. Later, add the rinsed buckwheat. Stir well and saute for 1 to 2 mins.<\/li>\n<li>Add the water, sugar and salt.<\/li>\n<li>\n<div class=\"RcHTM_li\">\n<div class=\"RcHTM_li-wrp\"><span class=\"RcHTM_li-tx\">Stir and cover the pan, and allow the buckwheat to simmer on a low flame.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div class=\"RcHTM_li\">\n<div class=\"RcHTM_li-wrp\"><span class=\"RcHTM_li-tx\">Cook till all the water is absorbed and the buckwheat has cooked well.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div class=\"RcHTM_li\">\n<div class=\"RcHTM_li-wrp\"><span class=\"RcHTM_li-tx\">Add coriander leaves and give a final stir.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<strong>Serve buckwheat khichdi hot or warm drizzled with lemon juice.<\/strong>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]<\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Kuttu, also known as buckwheat, is used to create a flavourful vrat-friendly snack to enjoy.
