Amaranth flour is added here instead of besan (gram flour), which we use in regular kadhis.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Preparation Time:<\/strong> 03 M<br \/>\n<strong>Cooking Time:<\/strong> 12 M<br \/>\n<strong>Total Time:<\/strong> 15 M<\/p>\n<p><strong>Required Ingredients :<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-amount\">1<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-unit\">cup<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-name\">full-fat fresh curd<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-amount\">3<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-unit\">tablespoons<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-name\">amaranth flour<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-notes wprm-recipe-ingredient-notes-normal\">(rajgira atta)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-amount\">\u00bd<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-unit\">teaspoon<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-name\">cumin seeds<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-amount\">1 to 1.5<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-unit\">teaspoons<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-name\">ginger-green chilli paste<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-notes wprm-recipe-ingredient-notes-normal\">or \u00bd inch ginger + 1 to 2 green chillies crushed in a mortar-pestle.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-amount\">\u00bd<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-unit\">cup<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-name\">water<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-amount\">\u00bc to \u00bd<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-unit\">teaspoon<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-name\">sugar, <\/span><span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-notes wprm-recipe-ingredient-notes-normal\">or add as required<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-amount\">2<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-unit\">tablespoons<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/ajantasoya.com\/shop\/product\/kachi-ghani-mustard-oil\/\"><strong>Pure Mustard Oil.<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-amount\">1 to 2<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-unit\">tablespoons<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-name\">chopped coriander leaves for garnish<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Rock salt (edible and food grade) as required<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Method of Cooking<\/strong><\/p>\n<div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-text\">\n<ul>\n<li>Take 1 cup of fresh curd in a mixing bowl. Whisk it till smooth.<\/li>\n<li>Then add 3 tablespoons of rajgira atta or amaranth flour. If you don\u2019t have amaranth flour, then you can also add buckwheat flour (kuttu ka atta), arrowroot flour or water chestnut flour (singhare ka atta)<\/li>\n<li>Mix again very well.<\/li>\n<li>Then add \u00bd cup of water.<\/li>\n<li>Whisk the whole mixture very well. There should be no lumps.<\/li>\n<li>In a pan, heat 2 tablespoons of <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/ajantasoya.com\/shop\/product\/kachi-ghani-mustard-oil\/\">Pure Mustard Oil<\/a>.<\/strong> Add \u00bd teaspoon cumin seeds and saute them till they are fragrant and change color.<\/li>\n<li>Then add 1 to 1.5 teaspoons crushed ginger+green chilli paste.<\/li>\n<li>Stir and saute till the raw aroma of the ginger goes away.<\/li>\n<li>Lower the heat and then add the curd mixture.<\/li>\n<li>Season with rock salt (sendha namak) according to taste.<\/li>\n<li>Stir very well and allow the rajgira kadhi to simmer on a low heat for about\u00a03 to\u00a04 minutes. Do stir on occasion. The kadhi will also thicken. If the kadhi thickens too much, then add a few tablespoons of water and stir again.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-text\"><\/div>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<strong>Garnish vrat ki kadhi with chopped coriander leaves and serve vrat ki kadhi. <\/strong>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]<\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]This is a quick and easy recipe of kadhi and takes about 15 minutes to prepare.
